Ask our Austin rhinoplasty specialists about the following examples of nose surgery procedures:

  • Nasal bridge augmentation: In this type of nose surgery, our Austin rhinoplasty specialists will provide a consultation to help the patient decide on the correct size of the implant for their needs.
The procedure itself entails the creation of a “nasal” pocket where the implant would rest. The surgery would be conducted under general anesthetic or mild sedation. After the surgery, the patient would be required to wear a nose splint for between 10 and 14 days to make sure that the implant did not shift or become loose.
  • Septorhinoplasty- In this procedure, our Austin rhinoplasty specialist would reconstruct the nasal passage to relieve any obstructions inside the nose that may be causing breathing problems. The obstruction is removed through internal incisions, with the interior of the nose restructured.
  • Nasal tip reduction- In this procedure, the goal is to narrow or refine a bulbous tip. There are several approaches to this, but the “sutures” technique in which tip cartilage is repositioned with sutures is a popular option. This allows cartilage to heal in a new, narrower position. The surrounding skin then heals around the newly positioned cartilage, providing a narrower appearance. Schedule a consultation with one of our Austin rhinoplasty surgeons to find out the best option for you.
  • Revision rhinoplasty- Revision rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to repair problems of form and function of the nose that have resulted from previous rhinoplasty procedures. During consultation, our Austin nose surgery specialists have an in-depth discussion with the patient about their desires and previous rhinoplasty procedure(s). There will also be a pre-operative evaluation of the nose and the overall facial balance. Computer imaging may also be used to further understand the challenges that are presented by previous surgeries.

The list above represents some examples of the most popular types of rhinoplasty procedures. Our Austin nose surgeons will help you choose the right type of nasal surgery for your needs.
